Settle’s folk music group will resume practice at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, in the Shepherd Center after its summer break. It’s a great time to try something new! If you are interested in learning to play the dulcimer, Joan Kolok, the group’s leader, can provide a loaner dulcimer and lessons to get you started. If you already play an instrument, God’s Troubadours may be a group for you. In addition to the dulcimer, the group is happy to include instruments such as guitar, hammered dulcimer, percussion, bass, mandolin, autoharp and flute. If you have a neglected instrument taking up space in your home, dust it off. There’s a song you could be playing! God’s Troubadours practices or performs at 6 p.m. Wednesday nights. If you are interested in the group, call or text Joan Kolok at 270-685-1312.
